Our Story
More than 25 years ago, the military issued a research initiative seeking a solution to one critical challenge facing aviators in flight: how could male and female fighter pilots safely manage bladder function during extended missions while remaining fully hydrated and operating at peak performance? At the time, existing solutions were often uncomfortable, unreliable, distracting, and unsafe, discouraging proper hydration and negatively impacting human performance and mission readiness.

Mark Harvie, founder of Omni Medical Systems and creator of both URINCare™ and SKYDRATE®, answered that call.

Driven by a passion for innovation and human performance, Mark developed a revolutionary non-invasive bladder management system designed specifically for military aviators. The technology allowed pilots to safely relieve themselves in flight while encouraging proper hydration, improving comfort, endurance, and overall operational performance in some of the world’s most demanding environments.

Today, Omni Medical Systems proudly supports thousands of military aviators worldwide through SKYDRATE® — our military bladder management platform trusted to help ensure optimal human performance in flight.

As the technology evolved, it became clear that the same innovation helping aviators could dramatically improve the lives of another deserving population: male veterans living with urinary incontinence and bladder management conditions.

20 years ago, Omni Medical Systems introduced this groundbreaking technology to the Veterans Administration to support incontinent veterans facing challenges related to post-prostatectomy incontinence, spinal cord injuries, neurological conditions, mobility limitations, and other service-connected health issues.

Through close collaboration with VA providers, nurses, ordering technicians, veterans, and caregivers, URINCareâ„¢ was developed and continuously refined to meet the real-world needs of those it serves. Every improvement has been guided by firsthand feedback from the veteran community and healthcare professionals dedicated to their care.

Alongside Mark is a trusted team of dedicated employees — many of whom have worked beside him for more than 10 years — all sharing the same commitment to providing exceptional care and support for our veterans. What began as an innovative technology project has grown into something much greater: a passion and a privilege to serve our nation’s heroes, both past and present military.

Today, URINCareâ„¢ continues that mission by providing a state-of-the-art, non-invasive bladder management solution designed to restore dignity, confidence, comfort, and independence for the men who sacrificed so much in service to our country.
Â
At Omni Medical Systems, innovation has always been about more than technology — it is about improving lives.

Mark Harvie is the President and Founder of Omni Medical Systems and Omni Defense Tech. Drawn to technology and engineering from a very young age, Mark began building radios at just 8 years old and constructed his first hang glider at age 12.
In 1998, Mark founded Omni with a vision of combining his engineering expertise and passion for aviation to solve real-world challenges. His innovative leadership led to the development of the only certified safe-to-fly in-flight bladder relief system, helping aviators maintain comfort, focus, and mission readiness during extended operations.
Â
Driven by a lifelong commitment to improving quality of life through technology, Mark expanded Omni's mission beyond aviation by introducing URINCareâ„¢, a non-invasive bladder management system designed to help male Veterans living with urinary incontinence regain their dignity, independence, and confidence. Originally developed from technology trusted by fighter pilots, URINCareâ„¢ provides a discreet, reliable solution that helps keep users dry, support skin health, and reduce the daily challenges associated with incontinence. Through this innovation, Mark and his team have helped countless Veterans restore independence and return to the activities they enjoy most.
Â
A dedicated family man, Mark is the proud father of five children, most of whom are actively involved in the family business and share the same passion for innovation, service, and improving lives that has driven him throughout his career. Together, they continue to advance Omni's mission of developing technologies that enhance both human performance and patient care.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys traveling, paddleboarding, skiing, and spending time with his family. Rarely without a new idea in mind, he is constantly researching, designing, and developing innovative solutions that improve human performance, increase independence, and solve real-world challenges for those who depend on them most.
Â
Today, Mark continues to lead Omni with the same curiosity, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit that inspired him as a young engineer—always looking for new ways to serve others through innovation.
